Ratification of the American Constitution With the Constitution, the elite society protected rights for everyAmerican that would secure and ensure our nations existence for hundredsof years. Under the Articles of conspiracy, the United States administration was in a state of chaos. To end the existing chaos and build astronger parliamentary society for the future, the politics would need to bemore hefty and centralized. Thus, the elite class established the rulesand boundaries that would protect the rights of all citizens from asuppressive government. The Articles created a weak, nigh nonexistent national governmentthat was in complete train by the states. The newly formed governmenthad neither an executive or judicial branch, which meant that it lackedenforcement powers. thither were three problems that existed infra theArticles of Confederation that would spawn an act of change. First, underthe Articles of Confederation the government could not protect propert y andother rights of the citizens. Second, the society created under theArticles of Confederation lacked a means of advancing commerce andinterstate trade. Third, government lacked the money and power to providean adequate national defense. Traders and commercial men found their plans for commerce on anational scale impeded by local interference with interstate commerce. Thecurrency of the states and the nation were hopelessly mudd conduct. Creditorseverywhere were angry virtually the depreciated paper money which the agrarianshad made and were attempting to force upon those from whom they hadborrowed specie. Poor, small landowning farmers could not sell or tradegoods that they produced on their land to other states. The mudd lead currency in 1786, led to the loss of land inMassachusetts. During this time Continental army veterans were unable topay their debts with the paper money that they were supplied with by theContinental Congress. This bankruptcy led to the loss of land and a greatrebellion led by Daniel Shays. The Shays rebellion was ended easily enoughbut it was the lack of national government that frightened mess. Had Daniel Shays gathered a larger number of people and had more firepower the small amount of farmers and townspeople might not return been ableto squash this rebellion. Anarchy in the States could not be tolerated.
